We already had a monitoring system in place enabling us to quickly spot obvious issues, but we wanted to go one step further into data analysis through advanced visualisation techniques and identify incoming events. EW-Shopp is enabling complex data flows to provide business-level decision support and feed innovative data-driven services. Corporate data are enriched using external weather and event data sources, and then explored and analysed using visual and predictive analytics. Knowage is the data visualisation component of the EW-Shopp platform, where it is used to create dynamic visualisation and analytics dashboards in the project business cases.
Matteo Palmonari – EW-Shopp Coordinator, University of Milan-Bicocca
Thanks to Knowage we greatly simplified the reporting procedure, reducing information dispersion and efforts waste. Furthermore, the modularity of the Knowage platform and its continuous evolution allow us to have the most appropriate data analytics functions according to the type of analysis required by the development of individual projects.
