Free Software Conference in Bozen

The South Tyrol Free Software Conference, SFScon, is one of Europe’s most established annual conferences on Free Software. SFScon promotes the use of Free Software in digital infrastructures as a tool to achieve greater innovation and competitiveness in the region.

This year SFScon will take place on Friday, 13th November and Saturday, 14th November 2020 in blended mode: both online and at NOI Techpark, for a limited number of people.

Knowage Labs will be deeply involved above all in the first day of the event, November 13th:

– at 16:00 CEST
In TRACK 1 Data Analytics, Marco Balestri (Knowage developer) will held the speech “Boost dataviz with Python“.

– at 17:20 CEST

In the OW2 track, Davide Vernassa (Knowage front-end developer) will held the speech “Customize your data visualizations with KNOWAGE

Knowage is joining the Free Software Conference together with other OW2 Community projects, with the aim to promote this association and the capabilities of its projects.

at 17:40 CEST – OW2 TRACK – “Software Ecosystems as Networks: Advances on the FASTEN project” by Paolo Boldi, Dipartimento di Informatica, Università degli Studi di Milano

Moreover, the Free Software Conference will host two important side events:

NOI Hackathon SFScon Edition

A 24 hour event that brings together creatives and developers to conceive new ideas and projects that will be published on a public git repository as Open Source prototype.

Networking Meetings

B2B Matchmaking-meetings will take place on Friday the 13th November 2020 from 4 to 7 pm. The prescheduled one-to-one meetings (on-site and virtual) offer a unique possibility to identify potential cooperation partners and to generate new business and innovation opportunities. Every participant selects his conversation partners individually and has 20 minutes to exchange about their ideas, projects and products.
