Users and Roles

Question

Hi, I create a new Roles (eg: IT_department) then create the user of that roles as (John_IT). So I create the cockpit as admin then set the analytical drivers for this IT_department roles. But the issue when I sign in as John_IT, the cockpit shows the error like this --> User does not have valid roles for the execution of the selected document . I set the dataset scope as "Technical" and Dataset Category as "Dataset Default Category". I already enable the Dataset Category for that Roles. Do tell me what I am missing? I am totally loss right now.

Hi MushiMushi96,

You also need to check if the functionality the document is in has permissions for your role. Then, click on the Functionalities menu and set the correct permission for your role.

I remind you that, for the permission (Development, test, Execution, Creation) to be enabled and selectable, the parent folder must have that permission.
