Since the knowage designer is getting deprecated in 8.0 we are going to lose a great feature of using external java datasets in birt designer.
Now with the new Birt designer (since knowage studio is being discontinued :( from knowage 8.0 version ), we are stuck with using only the internal query data set in the birt report. Please advise how we can use the external datasets(like the java dataset) defined in the knowage server in the birt report designer. The new 8.1 documentation speaks only about using an internal query dataset in birt designer. ? Please help... we have created many java datasets in the knowage server and we cannot use them if we update to the new knowage server...
