Dear Kstang,

after some tests on 8.0 and 8.1 versions the highcharts charts seems to be resizing correctly.

Probably you are experiencing some specific error, so please provide more information like the chart type, series and category you are using...

If you think instead to have found a bug on KNOWAGE, you can submit through the appropriate Bug Tracker, available here: https://github.com/KnowageLabs/Knowage-Server/issues providing provide as much information as you can in order to help developers find and solve the issue.

I tested the same steps against the case :

1. switch to edit mode for cockpit

2. create a chart and save , the chart display correctly

3. without exit the edit mode, resize the chart , the chart display incorrect, the size goes to very large

Note :

1. Same case ok when using the chart.js engine, the result just display correctly

2. it will resumed to normal after I save the result as usual and refresh the chart again (in view mode)

hello,

I tried your steps, but as you can see in the attached screenshots, the resize is working correctly.

Which chart are you using? Are you getting some error in the f12 console?

piechart. please find the screen below before and after resize . barchart ok .

hello,

thanks for the screenshots, the behaviour is strange, because testing same version with a pie chart similar to yours I can see the chart resizing correctly.

I think that we can try to take a look to possible errors:
Can you provide the js error console (f12) or the log you can find inside tomcat/logs folder? (i think the knowagecockpitengine is enough)

regards

1. knowagecockpitengine.log show zero byte

2. no console log produced after I resize the pie chart (I clear all the log before I resize it )
Hello,
are you using a chrome browser on a windows OS? Just to be sure to have tested on your same environment.
And just to be sure... are you using a chart widget or a custom chart widget?

windows 10 - chrome Version 98.0.4758.82 (Official Build) (64-bit)

chart is standard chart widget come with the installation (highchart)

Hello,

some changes have been made related to the chart resizing.
Those changes should be available since version 8.0.17.

Hope this solves the problem.
