Connecting to MSSQL jdbc

Hi,

Am new to the environment. Am trying to connect to MSSQL database. I've installed the jdbc in the appropriate directory but i get the error below when previewing the data source "com/microsoft/sqlserver/jdbc/SQLServerDriver has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0"

I think there is a mismatch between the java version and the driver version.

Which versions are you using?

java version "1.8.0_271"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_271-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.271-b09, mixed mode)
