Start project downloaded from repositories by using Tomcat

Question

I've downloaded the project from the github repository and after download all jar dependencies I tried to start the project but I can't enter to the system because of 404 error. Is necessary any additional configuration?

The Tomcat server is running but when I entered the localhost:8080/knowage I get the 404 error.

Any idea what can be wrong?

Thanks for your help but I would like to know how to start the project, specially working on the repository instead of WAR files. I've read about enter to Knowage directory, downloaded all packages with Maven and then start Tomcat server.

By using Eclipse IDE with Maven works to start it but in a situation when Eclipse IDE is not allowed I can't understand how start it again and manual installation guide doesn't talk anything about it.

I'll really appreciate additional information.
