Export to Excel a Birt report from copy link

Hi,

I have a report made in Birt that needs to be shared to be exported to excel format. So, I shared to my colegues the link from "copy link", but when they try to export it to excel, the file does not download. If I do it directly from knowage, navegating through the functionalities folders it works good. Any idea about what´s bad? any configuration missing?

I copy the link from "copy link" option

Send that link to my colegues, they open the link and try to export it through the option export to excel

It opens a blank page but does not do anything, does not download the report

Hi,

Yes. It is a bug into that version. The issue is that in the copy link url the object id is missing, and at the time of exporting the report, Knowage doesn´t know which one to export. So, add the object id into the copy link url and that will work.

i sent this link to my colleagues and they can open it and access the report
