The problem with Russian letters (Cyrillic alphabet).

Do not tell me what the error may be, I write a query using Russian letters, as a result, when saving, hieroglyphs are saved, and the question marks are extracted from the database, how to make the server and the client understand Russian letters? Knowage is configured through mysql, it is everywhere utf-8

Hi vanchok,

Please check if in your server.xml (Knowage-Server/conf/server.xml), the line

<Connector connectionTimeout="20000" port="8080" protocol="HTTP/1.1" redirectPort="8443" URIEncoding="UTF-8"/>

has the URIEncoding="UTF-8". It can make the trick...

Unfortunately, this is don't work for me.

In the text of exception I see that message:

it.eng.spagobi.utilities.engines.SpagoBIEngineServiceException: An unpredicted error occurred while executing  service.
The root cause of the error is: Invalid byte 2 of 2-byte UTF-8 sequence.

Please tell me, how I can fix this error?

Dear Ustas,

some work has been done regarding the internationalization issues, also related to queries.
If you try to update to knowage latest release there should be no problem.
In case this issue is still present please reply with the error logs or some screenshots to help the developers to easily address it.
