Migration from SpagoBI to Knowage

Question

Hi,

Is there any tip or tool to migrate previous versions of SpagoBI to Knowage? Previously, we had some database scripts for upgrading from one version of SpagoBi to another newer version. Will these dbscripts be provided or are there many incompatibilities between SpagoBi and the brand new Architecture of Knowage that prevents such a migration?

Actually there is no tool now, but we are going to create an ETL process in order to migrate the information from an existing SpagoBI 5.x to Knowage 6

I think we'll release in a couple of month.

Hi, Angelo! So, by your answer it's possible to migrate information from a SpagoBI 5.x to Knowage. Then, I'll make a try by myself  to move metadata between SpagoBI and Knowage. If I succeed, I'll let you know.

I'm currently working on migrating the information from SpagoBI to Knowage, and facing a problem of Knowage configurated only with MySQL, but we are working with PostgreSQL with SpagoBI.
I wanted to know if your ETL process you talked about is progressing ? And if so can we contribuate in it ?

Dear Othman,
We are starting to design an ETL process that migrate data from an old SpagoBI to new Knowage. The ETL process will work between same dbms: mysql -> mysql / postgresql -> postgresql / oracle -> oracle ...

We are using Talend.
