Meta-Web does not load - "ERROR: operator does not exist: boolean = integer"

Hi all,

I have deployed the meta-web war file but when I enable "meta web" the page starts to load the application but ends up in an infinite wait. The log files for  knowageMeta.log show the following error:

There appears to be an error in the SQL for postgresql databases. Is there a work-around for this?

Could you use Tomcat 7  to verify if the problems could be related ?

Will try this week some time on tomcat7. (Please ignore the rest of this - was not responding to this issue Added by author.)  I have redeployed Knowage on tomcat8 already and the problems does not manifest.

Maybe it was some combination of creating a demo doc before deploying the required wars that caused the problem? I will see if I can reproduce the problem.

Ok, the problem still exists with tomcat 7. It looks like a problem with the query which probably works with other databases, other than postgres, because of the type conversion but it doesn't with postrgres.

Also please ignore my previous response. It was about another issue not related to this. I thought I was responding to one of my other postings :) So the problem exists in tomcat8 and tomcat7 and is trivially reproducible.

The type cast error mentioned in the log above occurs when the incorrect hibernate driver is specified for the knowage database. i.e by default hibernate.cfg.xml is set up for MySQL and if you use Postgres you will get the above error. However this error persists for MetaWeb even when the hibernate config file is updated as per the installation guide.

It turns out MetaWeb has its own hibernate.cfg.xml file that needs to be edited (tomcat8/webapps/knowagemeta/WEB-INF/classes/hibernate.cfg.xml) update this config file with the postgres driver and it works.

Yes, but not only for knowagemeta. All the webapps have a hibernate.cfg.xml file than need to be updated to add a new database driver.
