Hi,

I am installing the installer on windows server 2008 R2 with the following configuration:

  • RAM 8GB
  • wamp 3.0.6
  • MySQL 5.7.14
  • innodb_buffer_pool_size = 6G
  • innodb_log_file_size = 512M
  • PHP 5.5.38
  • Apache 2.4.23
  • JAVA version 1.8.0_162

during the installation the error appears: Unable to define metadata schema

and I can not continue. Click HERE to view the log. How can I solve?

Hi,

    did you run Knowage installer with default options (Highcharts + demo contents)?

Installer works fine on Windows 10 + MySQL 5.7.17...

Which other customization applies to your MySQL Server instance?

I use Charts.js with:

  • windows server 2008 R2
  • RAM 8GB
  • wamp 3.0.6
  • MySQL 5.7.14

Hi,

    I can tell that installer works fine on Windows 10 + MySQL 5.7.14, choosing Chart.js.

So please check your MySQL configuration against a default one, or try locally a new fresh installation of MySQL...

At this point it's very hard for us to conjecture the cause of your issue.

Facing the same problem with MariaDB installed with Mariadb Installer:

Server type: MariaDB
Server version: 10.2.13-MariaDB - mariadb.org binary distribution
Protocol version: 10
Server charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

Gave all database permissions to the user created (via phpMyAdmin).

Is there any installation log file so I can try to check what is going on?

HI,

Facing the same issue with installer

Knowage-6_2_1-CE-Installer-Unix-20180926.sh -c

OS : Linux

DBMS : mariadb 10

jdbc:mariadb://localhost:3306

user : root (<- the user who has full privileges on all databases and is avaible to create databases)

Message : Unable to define metadata schema

Extracting files ...
Additional tasks
Copying resources...
Copying WAR files...
Updating database...
Unable to define metadata schema
Rolling back changes ...
Finishing installation ...

any idea ?
