Where is the Knowage Report Designer source code and why can't we upgrade inside it?

Is the Report Designer source code available?

Why is the Eclipse (Luna) RCP core restricting the ability to get and/or install upgrades, server adapters, etc.?  My assumption is that you don't want people messing around with what is a meant to be a standalone RCP application dedicated to doing one thing: creating documents for Knowage.  However, it really limits some of things we "could" do and I'd rather not have to hack the thing to enable access to P2 repositories and the like.

Hi,
the report designer is based on Birt that is an open source project. If you want to know how to download and change the source code you need to check the official site of the project here: http://www.eclipse.org/birt/

What about the entire Report Designer package?  Is that not something you are releasing?
