I have created an Impala data source and created a query dataset from it. I can preview this dataset and it does display data. I then create a cockpit and ass a simple bar chart to it. I specify the information for the bar chart, but I always get

Error: Unable to load data from dataset. Please check widget and config.

I have tried simple changes to the data source (WRITE enablement). From the log, it appears that the SELECT statement being driven into Impala contains the wrong table name using something like 'sbitest19'. I can see that the original query (the one defined in the dataset) is correct though.

Hi, is the impala datasource set as read only?

If no, set it as read only.

If yes, can you attach the log?

This did not fix the error. The log will be forwarded in am email.(How do you attach a file to this comment???)
Please attach the log file to the original question or embed it directly into the question itself.
The log file is too big. The text input only has 8000 characters allowed. I emailed the log file to you using the email widget at the top of the screen.
That mail is not meant to be used for sending log.
Please extract the meaningful part of you log file and copy/paste it into the question.
I solved this problem. The error was that the cache setting were not defined completely. I created a database (called cache) in the MySQL DB where I had defined the Write Default data source. I changed the configuration parameter for cache schema to "cache". I stopped and restarted Knowage and from that point forward, the Impala errors have gone away.
